The Delmere Hotel is located in the heart of London, close to Paddington Station, a major rail and underground network hub and is the west of England's gateway to London. The Paddington Heathrow Express train ensures a regular express link to Heathrow Airport, with a travel time of just 15 minutes to and from Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 and 3. The travel time from Terminal 4 is slightly longer at about 20 minutes.
All of the exits from Paddington station (with the exception of the Metropolitan line) for both Tube and Mainline exit on Praed Street. At London Street (Burger King on corner) walk down to the first traffic lights and turn left into Sussex Gardens.
The Delmere Hotel is situated within the private roadway immediately around the corner of Sussex Gardens at No 130.
From the Arrivals hall follow the signs to the trains. Take the Heathrow Express Link to Paddington station. Cost: Single £14.00, Return £26.00.
Once at Paddington Station walk from the platform and carry straight on. Do not follow the signs to the Underground, but take the nearest exit and walk up to and cross Praed Street. Walk into London Street (Burger King on corner) and walk down to the first traffic lights, turn left into Sussex Gardens.
Best Western The Delmere Hotel is situated within the private roadway immediately around the corner of Sussex Gardens at No 130. If you do not wish to walk to the hotel from Paddington Station, a taxi will cost about £5.
Alternatively, a taxi from Heathrow to our doorstep will cost you around £50.
From the arrivals hall, follow the signs to the trains. Take the Gatwick Express train to Victoria Station. Cost: Single £13.00, Return £24.00.
From Victoria Station you can either:
a) TAXI - Cost approx. £8/£15 (depending on traffic) directly to the hotel.
b) UNDERGROUND - Take the Circle line from Victoria Station to Paddington Station, and then follow directions above from Paddington Station.
c) BUS - On the east side of Victoria Station in Wilton Road take the No. 36 bus towards Paddington. The bus stops in Sussex Gardens, keep walking in the same direction, Best Western The Delmere Hotel will be on you right at No 130.
Take the Stansted express train to Liverpool Street station. Cost: Single £14.50, Return £24.00.
From Liverpool Street station you can either:
a) TAXI - Take a Taxi directly to the hotel (cost approx. £10.00.)
b) UNDERGROUND - Take the westbound Circle Line to Paddington Station then follow directions from Paddington station above.
c) BUS - Take the No 23 bus from Bishopsgate to Paddington Station. The bus stops in Sussex Gardens, keep walking in the same direction and Best Western The Delmere will be on you right at No 130.
From Waterloo Station you can either:
a) TAXI - Take a taxi directly to the hotel. Cost: approx. £12/£15.
b) UNDERGROUND - Take the Bakerloo Line northbound to Paddington Station. Then follow directions from Paddington station above. Be careful as this street exit has about 40 steps with no alternative lift or escalator.
The closest landmark to The Delmere is Marble Arch or Paddington Station.
From Marble Arch, go North up Edgware Road (A1) and at the 4th set of traffic lights, turn left into Sussex Gardens. Best Western The Delmere Hotel is on the 4th block on the right at No. 130.
From the A40 (Oxford) follow the signs to Central London and when you are on the Westway elevated section take the Paddington exit. Drive straight along Westbourne Terrace until you have to turn left; this is the beginning of Sussex Gardens. Just past the 1st traffic lights turn into a private roadway, Best Western The Delmere Hotel is approx. halfway along at No. 130.
